Month of Music Day 19 Audio Adreniline It's Over Underdog
Farewell, so long to you We've come to the end of the night It's all been wonderful A lovely and wonderful time [Chorus:] Say goodnight to All the friends who Rocked and rolled beside you We hope you've enjoyed the show It's over It's over It's all over now This room will be empty soon When the music and laughter is gone This night will be forgot But the joy you've found can go on [Chorus:] Say goodnight to All the friends who Rocked and rolled beside you We hope you've enjoyed the show It's over It's over It's all over now The lights come down, don't lose your glow When it's over It's over It's all over now Is it all over? Or has it just begun? [Chorus:] Say goodnight to All the friends who Rocked and rolled beside you We hope you've enjoyed the show It's over It's over It's all over now
My Take:
One night I was jamming out to the opus, and I was picturing how concerts look when people are clearing out. That got me to thinking about what that would look like if somebody filmed it. That's when I got the idea for videos. Yes, what would be really cool would be if I could package all these videos up...what would I call it? What would I call it? Okay, how about the order on the disk - 9-10-11? It seemed such a simple idea, but profound. Other than the same band, the songs have little to do with each other. I thought it would be cool to make videos that I would play in my head. A little bug that read, "Directed by John Stansbury." It would even have a cool title:
9-10-11
Simple white letters on a black background. The opening song of 'It Is Well' showing the sea tragedy. The visuals would explain why the song sounds so bittersweet. The loss of four daughters, but there was one, "Saved alone!" And still the words of that song. Then, taking it in a totally different direction, we'd have the band members waking up, except one who oversleeps and doesn't hear the alarm. We keep coming back to him, but he keeps on sleeping. Eventually he wakes up, but before he leaves his bed, he says a prayer. Okay, so I'm not Orson Welles. Finally, with the song 'It's Over,' we'd have that clearing the stadium coverage. All in all, I think my videos would work out really well.
