My Take:

It was mere days after 9/11 that normalcy returned to Central Mississippi. Well, as normal as could be, considering somebody just attacked us, and we were at war. It was different driving through Brandon. When I got to Pearl, I thought about how I could just do something...anything to make things less wrong. It just so happened that I was listening the the 'Underdog' CD again. I usually keep it on skip, but when 'It is Well' comes on, I listen to them in order. There, right before I got to the Pearl Jam, I saw that graphic in my head again:

9-10-11

Only, now I wondered what would happen if somebody walked out and draped an American flag over the 10. That made me feel so infinitely better. And it made things feel a little less wrong.
