Over the years, I've had a couple of ideas about how things should go, but I've never put them down in words, or told anybody about them. A few days ago, I thought up this Update Your Plugins Day, but I had no way to keep track of it after that one post. I could add a post in the News section, but then I'd be eternally posting links to myself. Thinking about the recursiveness, I figured I go full bore.

Thus, a new category, Campaigns. Not getting political here, because that means you've run out of arguments. Many a website finds a slow death after getting political.

No, MacStansbury Campaigns are about reminding people that there are dumb people who want to spam your comments. It's about people who are still using guestbooks. It's about getting people to turn on their firewall. That's the kind of campaigns I'm talking about.

As with any campaign, figuring out how to make them effective is the hardest part. However, I know that with the gigantic reach of the MacStansbury.com community, I'll be able to change the world into a better place, and make all that sweet, sweet blog money. And, you know, get people to turn their dang firewalls on.

Maybe.
