Alex King put out a new version of Popularity Contest, and I'll be letting it cook over the weekend before releasing the stats to the masses.

I'll have an update on this post when the data starts becoming logical.

UPDATE: Here's what I've learned from over the weekend.

1. I couldn't change a parameter, because the plugin wasn't coded to work with my SQL server, or something like that. It's been updated, and now it works as expected. Now I can change the ratings for comments (since I don't have any).

2. I don't have comments, so it's really difficult to figure out, looking at a page, how popular it is. And the onslaught of scrappers this site has seen over the past month isn't helping keep the statistics accurate.

3. I am hopelessly addicted to statistics. I'm not in denial, though. Just an observation.

4. I'll continue to monitor the statistics of the site, and watch how the viewing patterns of my spammers continue, since that's pretty much the only traffic I get.
