The Apple modem is a perplexing beast. On the one hand, it is a wonder of technology, on the other, an infuriating dinosaur. I have to use a slower script to get the modem to not drop its connection every five minutes. But it’s so simple to change scripts, that it doesn’t bother me too much.

Downloading Mac OS 9.1 Updater, and man, is it weird. I am spending five hours to get something that will, in all likelihood, not do me much good at all. But I do it in the interest of Steve Jobs and Apple. God bless Apple, and all those who depend on it.

Speaking of God, George W. Bush used the J-word repeatedly yesterday. I am glad there is a Republican in the White House, even if it isn’t Jeb. I now feel confident that America is going to go down a more civil, united path. I still can’t use the word Clinton and the word President in the same sentence, let alone used for a title. And the goofs were back out throwing eggs and such, and the cameras were all over them.

It is a good time to be a conservative, what with all the cooks and the left-wing wackos out there. Now if the W can just get through his presidential term without getting assassinated, we’ll be all right!

And just a note to remind myself: always stay funny. That is your best attribute. If it takes more food or lack of sleep, well, do it! The best thing you got is your brain, so use that, and not you 11” wanker to get the chicks. (Ed. Note-I have no idea where that wanker statement came from, no one around here has half that much) So keep up the good work, and keep it going.
