There's always tomorrow

It's these non-descriptive titles that gets you, isn't it? I love the toons as much as anybody, but this one really spoke to me. I like cartoons.

Another thing I like is free stuff. If there's any way to get me something for free, I'll take it. I'm into taking things that are free.

So it comes as no surprise that I'd want to take from the rich and give to the me. Today, it's stealing cartoons. Well, not even stealing, but using what they give me to use to promote them.

If you haven't found your way to the footer, you'll see that there are three columns stolen taken from the Hemingway theme, a way to put a lot of details into the bottom of the page, without filling the sidebar with a ton of unsuccessful, tedious yammerings. I save the posts for that. In the individual posts, the third column has the tags for the post. However, before today, the single pages had a blank spot.

That's when I happened upon an idea. I read these cartoons all the time, and they give out these teaser images to get you to come to their site. Ones like these:

I thought about putting the PC Weenies one in, as I have before on other places, but then I thought about the bLaugh comics I use all the time. I'd love to have some random script that would let me just through them around, randomly, and make it easy to add more cartoons as I find them.

That's where Randomize comes in. It has an administration option that will let you enter all the script's HTML to your page. It also lets you edit and delete things, and show them in random - or not-so-random - ways. Sticking this in the footer allows me to fill up that empty feeling on pages such as these.

So, empty section problems solved...now if I could only get somebody to buy this place...

By the way...the code for the footer looks something like this:

The cartoons category being there in case I want to use Randomize for some other insidious purpose later. And if anybody knows another cartoon that does something like this I can stick in the rotation, let me know!
