...and I thought about movies. Here's the two things I saw at Tailrank: Fraggles get big screen adventure and 'Fraggle Rock' to be made into movie. The correspond to this story and this story respectively, but I couldn't help but think about how nostalgia plays in our popular culture. Then I thought about how Tailrank works.

See, I'm think that, as soon as the Tailrank bot shows up, it'll see that I linked to those two stories, maybe, and will add me to the cue. Or not. I'm not really sure.

I said before that I had the big idea to create my own service of this sort, mainly since I'd want to produce a meme-tracker more than I'd want to produce a message board. I've lost the interest in making the story, now I just want to follow the big story. With Tailrank, that's now possible, but it needs a little tweaking.

As I was sitting here, chatting with my USC grad student friend (who sent me compromising boot-related footage - feel envious), I noticed a couple of different things showing up. Mainly, this, this, and this. Now, as the guy who pioneered the übergâming of the Open Trackback post, it's neat to see these things show up.

I also wonder how long these will take to disappear. Or get filtered. Or get worked out. That's what memeorandum figured out, and the same with Techmeme, and I wonder if it'll find it's way into the Tailrank system.

I also wonder if Tailrank will get overrun by gamers, just like Technorati did. Or does, really. Seeing as how Tailrank indexed this site, I wonder just how large the population for links is? I'd say the front page will have to get more discerning here in a little while, or it is going to get real ugly, real quick.

This coming from the guy who tried to build something that was a dead ringer for this. Got the login built and the magpie running and everything. But I'm not bitter...
